The refusal to honor endings leaves unfinished business lodged in the nervous system, unresolved bonds circling the psyche, and grief with nowhere to go.
There is no true rebirth without death. There is no clean beginning without a dignified ending.
Endings deserve witness. Love deserves dignity. The future depends on what we are willing to lay to rest, consciously, completely, and without residue.
